Day or Night: How It Works

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Think burst pipe, an overflowing toilet, a hot water system that's died, or the smell of gas. Any of those, plus water pooling or a stained ceiling besides, means it can't wait. Ring us, and we'll let you know right away whether it needs someone on-site fast, or whether it can hold until morning.

How does the callback form work?

Leave your name and number, and we'll ring you back, day or night. It suits anyone mid-crisis who can't talk right that second, or who spots the form at 3am instead of picking up the phone. Either way, an actual person calls, not a bot working through a queue.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Public holidays, Sundays, the middle of a long weekend, none of it makes a difference. The phone gets answered by a real person every time, and if it's urgent a plumber is moving within the hour. There's no closed sign on emergencies.

What happens after I call?

A plumber picks up, not a rostered operator working off a script. From there we figure out what's needed, get someone headed your way, and lock in a fixed price before any work begins.

Pricing, Explained Honestly

Is the quote really free?

Free, every time, no strings attached afterward. A plumber checks the job, walks you through what it needs, and you approve the price before anything happens. No surprises, no obligation.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

Never. The $0 Call Out Fee stands whether the job goes ahead or you decide to hold off, same rule for every visit.

How do your quotes work?

A plumber assesses it in person, talks through what's involved, and writes the number down before touching a spanner. The price we quote is the price you pay. No exceptions.

How can I pay?

Settle up once the job's finished and the price is signed off, in whatever way suits you that day. No surprises on the invoice.

The Normanhurst Side of Things

Do tree roots really block drains around Normanhurst?

Often, yes. The bushland edge along the Berowra Valley means plenty of mature trees, and their roots work into ageing sewer and stormwater pipework on established blocks. Heavy leaf drop from the same canopy each autumn adds to it, choking gutters and stormwater after a downpour.

Why do Normanhurst's older homes keep us busy?

Plenty of what's here went up around the 1895 railway, Federation cottages and inter-war brick mixed together, plumbed with earthenware clay drains that crack as they age. A fair share still run the original galvanised water pipes too, corroding from the inside and choking off pressure.

Which suburbs do you service?

Normanhurst is home turf, plus Thornleigh, Hornsby, Wahroonga, Pennant Hills, Waitara and Beecroft. Not on that list? Ring us anyway, chances are you're still close enough.

Do you work on Normanhurst's apartments and strata blocks?

Most of Normanhurst is standalone houses on their own blocks, but there's also a pocket of unit development near the station, and we cover those too. The jobs are usually the same ones that come up in any older building, an ageing hot water system or a leaking tap.

The Legal Side, Made Simple

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C covers every plumber we send, with insurance behind each callout. Happy to show it to you at the door.

What does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?

The labour, on whatever we've done for you, full stop. If it's not right, we come back. No questions. No cost.

What is safe to try myself before you arrive?

Burst pipe, or a tap stuck running? Turn off the water at the meter and mop up what you can in the meantime. Smell gas instead? Leave the property and call from outside, that one's not a DIY job.

Who can legally do gas work in NSW?

Gas fitting needs its own NSW licence, held separately from a standard plumbing ticket. Only a tradesperson carrying that licence gets sent to a job involving a gas line.
